About this tool

Why use Yes or No Wheel?

Use a clear visual prompt for casual choices when either answer is acceptable. Switch between Yes/No, Yes/No/Maybe or custom weighted choices. Do not use a random result as a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice.

How to use it

  1. Select a preset or enter custom answers.
  2. Adjust weights only when unequal chances are intended.
  3. Spin and read the text result.
  4. Use the history to review previous casual choices.

Common use cases

  • Resolve a playful tie
  • Choose whether to do an activity
  • Create a discussion prompt

Practical examples

  1. Choose whether to play one more casual round.
  2. Add Maybe when the group wants a neutral option.
  3. Create a discussion prompt with disclosed unequal weights.

How it works

Random values come from window.crypto.getRandomValues(). Lists are shuffled with an unbiased Fisher–Yates process. For a wheel, the result is chosen before the animation; for weighted entries, each positive weight defines its share of the total probability.

Yes or No Wheel FAQ

Is my list uploaded?

No. Entries are processed in your browser unless you explicitly create a share link.

What kind of randomness is used?

The browser Web Crypto API supplies unbiased random values. Wheel animation only reveals a result chosen in advance.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The controls, results and wheel adapt to current mobile browsers and keyboard navigation.

Can I reuse my settings?

Yes. Device storage can remember recent settings unless you turn off local list saving.

Is this suitable for a certified lottery?

No. It is a general-purpose classroom, work, event and decision tool, not a regulated drawing system.
