Cookie Policy
The essential session cookie, browser storage, optional analytics and consent-controlled advertising technologies used by this site.

Cookies and LocalStorage
A cookie is a small value a browser sends with later requests. LocalStorage is browser storage that normally remains until it is cleared. Random Picker Tools uses both only for the purposes described here; the controls for each are different.
Essential session cookie
RPTSESSID is a first-party session cookie used for form security, rate-limited workflows and administrator authentication. On HTTPS it is Secure, it is HttpOnly, it uses SameSite=Lax and it normally expires when the browser session ends. It does not contain your list or result. Blocking it may prevent contact, reporting, sharing or administration forms from working.
Device preferences
LocalStorage may retain favorites, recent tools and searches, optional recent lists, tool settings, theme, sound, time format, language, reduced-motion and the site-analytics choice. These values remain on the device until you clear them, the browser removes them or a site action replaces them. List saving can be turned off independently.
Optional site analytics
Analytics remains off unless it is configured and this browser records an affirmative choice. The site stores that choice in LocalStorage and sends only the limited event categories described in the Privacy Policy. Reject Optional Services changes this site-analytics choice; it does not change Google advertising consent.
Google and vendor technologies
When approved advertising is active, Google and other authorised ad technology providers may place or read first- or third-party cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers for ad delivery, frequency control, aggregate reporting, fraud prevention, measurement and personalisation where allowed. Names, purposes and retention periods can vary by provider and are presented through the certified consent message and linked provider notices.
Regional consent and opt-out
For eligible users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, advertising uses a Google-certified CMP integrated with IAB Transparency and Consent Framework v2.3. The message provides consent, refusal and manage-options choices. Applicable United States visitors may receive a Do Not Sell or Share or targeted-advertising opt-out message. When Google Privacy & messaging is active, its footer privacy link reopens the choices so consent can be changed or withdrawn.
Your controls
Use Cookie Settings for this site’s LocalStorage and analytics preference, the certified advertising message for ad purposes and vendors, Google Ads Settings for Google ad personalisation, or your browser settings to delete or block storage. Browser blocking can reduce functionality and does not by itself communicate every legally recognised opt-out signal to every vendor.
